I wanted to share this story with you.

In Germany, the pickle ornament was considered very special.

On Christmas eve the tree was always traditionally decorated, and

for good luck, the pickle was the last ornament to be hung by parents into the green boughs.

The children allowed to view the tree in the morning, would start searching

for the pickle ornament. 

Whoever found the pickle first, got something extra left by St. Nicholas.

Something to think about for next year, as from the looks of many homes, many of you are still 

removing your home decor and lights.
